Compassionate Conservatism

Doesn't this say all about our President's compassionate conservatism?

This is about Democrats, and Republicans.

Cause of democracy is served only when politicians are asked to explain record high deficits, bribery, no-bid scandals, and wars launched on lies, with the same vigor as holding a President responsible for his personal moral failings. Why are the self-righteous more obsessed with fellatio than corruption, fiscal irresponsibility and killing tens of thousands of innocents in the wrong war?

Today, democracy is threatened by those claiming to have a Theistic monopoly, and have copyrighted God for their own sinister purposes by demonizing opponents. Legislators hiding behind a deity are a bigger threat to democracy than others because they get away with their lies, corruption and scandals by sinisterly invoking God.

Democracy is the voter’s sacred right and obligation, and not monopoly of the two parties. Democracy is served when Congress does not abdicate their duty by the constitution. It is threatened when legislators rollover, and act as mouth pieces/rubber stamps for the executive like some third world dictatorship.

Democracy is best served if SOONERS emulate the youth of other countries; they are the age group that turns out to vote the most. America’s democracy is threatened by gross voter indifference. Democracy is served best when regardless of party affiliation, WE the voters hold crooked, lying politicians accountable for their actions, because voters have the final moral authority to do so.

Jesus tossed out the moneychangers, cattle buyers and Dove sellers and did not sanction hypocrisy.

Hold our elected leaders accountable

Our people are pathetic. They do not pay attention to what is going on in the world. We gave The President a carte' blanche to wage war anyplace anywhere anytime he sees fit when the pathetic sycophantic congress caved in. As long as Mr. Bush frames any military aggression as being part of the "global war on terror" he has been given a blank check to go to war and bring us closer to armageddon.

The latest is Iran. How will we fight and win? We went into Iraq because the American people were too stupid and too racist to discuss facts and examine the truth. It is a sad day when even today more Oklahomans think the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 were Iraqis!! What channels do these morons watch? WWF? QVC? Are we that bad in our educational levels and intelligence that we willfully shut the door on facts ? GET THIS IN YOUR HEADS MY PATRIOTIC brothers and sisters.

SADDAM HAD NOTHING TO DO with 9/11 and NOT ONE OF the hijackers was an IRAQI.

15 of those bastards were Saudis. Saudi's practice this intolerant brand of Wahabi Sunni Islam and they preach hatred towards us. Why is Bush and Cheney afraid to tell us that fact ?

Or is that one of those inconvenient truths we don't want to share with the people?

Why? To drive fear perhaps and distract us from the quagmire we created? Our national intelligence estimates NIE, CIA and everyone else said EVEN BEFORE WE invaded and killed tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians that Saddam was not behind it.

Our arrogant attitudes failed to explain ancient cultures. Failed to address Sunni, Shia and Kurd differences.

We failed to tell the American people that REAGAN and even Democrats kept Saddam in power as a bulwark against Shia led extremist Iranian revolutionaries. Right now the cases Saddam is being tried for happened when we infact supported him and gave fire directional support and sold Trucks and other material to him. Our companies sold components to his chemical weapons programs.

IT IS PEOPLE LIKE US and our narrow ignorant racist attitude that has caused more and more hatred towards us. It is we the people who have given the nutcase Islamic radicals a recruiting poster. We had to finish the job in Afghanistan and we dropped the ball. And we dare not punish Pakistan although all the intolerant Madrassas are found there and they have Nuclear Weapons!

GET THIS. There was NO Al-Qaeda connection to Saddam either. Saddam was more afraid of them than even us at that time. They all considered Saddam who was a Secular socialist an enemy of their false twisted sick brand of Islamic terrorism.

Of course who would we know? We can't even place a map of Iraq right can we?

THINK Of these things now when you pray brothers and sisters. Tens of thousands are dead and there is daily misery in Iraq because of us. The number of terrorists and even insurgents and just plain Iraqis who want to see us the foreign occupiers out have increased by the thousand fold.

WE HAVE LOST the just cause we had when the world including Iran stood with us after 9/11. What did we do? With our hubris and our racist ignorance we have got into a war we cannot win.

Bush may be in denial but the people on the ground know it.

LISTEN TO our British allies and their Commanders who at least have the courage to speak out against their Prime Minister because they value free speech and democracy more than we do.

Let us hold the crooked corrupt immoral anti Christian politicians accountable this November 7th. WHO WOULD JESUS BOMB OR HATE? Do we as a democracy allow the Presidency to be given a blank check to ursurp our rights and for him to wage war with anyone he does not like? Why did the Congress abscond from their sacred duty to the CONSTITUTION?

Let us examine Facts about IRAQ

WHO WOULD JESUS Bomb???Won't that make a great story for our mission accomplished in Iraq? We blame all Moslems for terrorist attacks on us huh?

So logically won't it be possible to blame all Christians for the tens of thousands of dead Iraqi civilians? Think about it a bit before you progress further.

The sad state of our citizenry is demonstrated when even five years after 9-11, most Oklahomans don’t seem to know that fifteen out of the 9-11 Hijackers were Saudi Arabians (our biggest feudal ally) and that none were Iraqis; rest were either Egyptians or others. It is sadder than some of our young men and women fighting and dying in Iraq are still made to think Saddam was behind 9-11 by right wing propagandists and the architects of the invasion.

It is patently obvious, that after our own intelligence community released the definitive report in May 2003 disputing Bush’s and Cheney’s claims about mobile weapons laboratories, we continued to flat out lie about it as late as November of 2003, on national media by insisting Saddam had mobile biological weapons labs which turn out to be for Helium trucks for weather balloons! No one want to challenge these lies; the moral rightwing mullahs who were “outraged” by Clinton’s lies about fellatio and stains on a blue dress are deaf dumb and mute on issues that are critical to our security, and future.

WHERE THE BLOODY HELL IS THE OUTRAGE AT THESE LIES?

CLINTON LIED ABOUT PERSONAL MORAL FAILINGS and you rightwing nuts were all up in arms and your pimps on TV and radio were hammering him day in and day out even before investigations were completed; for what?

Did the fornicating Bubba redneck SW US President get almost 2,805 young Americans killed? Did he cause the Haditha massacre?

Right now, Iraq’s former President, Tyrant and Dictator Saddam is being tried for “crimes against humanity” that occurred in 1982. It is very important we Americans make careful note of the time frame(year) mentioned. Most of us (and me too, an immigrant: LEGAL) citizens don’t pay attention to facts and details when they espouse opinions such as “Saddam was responsible for 9-11”; “he was bad guy and we never supported him because we are so righteous” etc.

In the absence of WMDs, and in light of all the neo-con arguments for invasion blowing up in our faces daily, it is good for YOU YOUNG STUDENTS AS responsible citizens to peruse some historical facts(while cheering you football team or the St Louis Cardinals), and examine the time frame carefully. When those alleged incidents occurred in 1982, Saddam had been President of Iraq for almost 7 years after he ousted the Baath Party head and former President Al Bakr in 1975.

Saddam brought one of the longest periods of stability, a massive infrastructure development scheme, and ah yes a massive military build up as well, thanks to oil money. By the time he went to war with Iran, Iraq had a very educated population and women enjoyed more freedoms(except political) than in any of our allied feudal corrupt degenerate kingdoms of the middle-east. Similarly, our ally Iran at that time was doing the same. Therefore, it is critical that we patriots to examine our own role in exacerbating the Iranian crisis; then we patriots can have a more informed understanding of our relationships with Iran.

(Wikpedia quoted below)
De-classified CIA files and State Department files reveal that in 1953 the US overthrew a democratically elected socialist government in Iran and installed the Shah Reza Phalavi with pro-monarchy forces in a coup led by British and US intelligence agencies. The Shah who was our puppet, ran the place with his Savak Secret police and killed thousands and thousands while ensuring stable cheap oil supplies. We actively armed and supported him all the way to the end (1979) when it became apparent that Iranian people power with help from the Mullahs will no longer tolerate the Shah: What were our reasons supporting the Shah? Was it is the yummy Dates and mouth watering Pistachios Iran exports? or that thick gooey stuff that runs our economy? In 1979 the religious opposition, lead by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, drove the Shah into exile. Khomeini sought his capture for crimes against Iranian civilians; and when it was learned that he had been admitted into the United States for medical treatment, Iran's angry and foolish response was the start of the hostage crisis at the U.S. embassy in Teheran. After dismissal from the hospital the Shah fled to Panama, then Egypt. He died on July 27, 1980, at the age of 60.

During the cold war, Iraq was armed and trained by Soviets and Iran was armed and trained by us. Both were disgusting tyrannies with Saddam being more brutal than the Shah. Both nations developed rapidly using oil wealth and had highly developed infrastructure. But most of their wealth was spent on weapons from us or the Soviets and we were gleeful at the profits we made. Shah of Iran had his share of Palaces and the Peacock Throne just like Saddam had his opulent palaces similar to all the other feudal degenerate Royalties we prop in the Middle-East.

(Wikpedia quoted below)
One of the factors contributing to hostility between Iraq and Iran was a dispute over control of the
Shatt al-Arab waterway at the head of the Persian Gulf, an important channel for the oil exports of both countries. (research sources) In 1974 Saddam launched a small attack on Iran and failed. In 1975, United States Secretary of State Henry Kissinger sanctioned that the Shah , attack Iraq over the waterway, which was under Iraqi control at the time; soon afterward both nations signed the Algiers Accord, in which Iraq made territorial concessions, including the waterway, in exchange for normalized relations. From 1980 to 1989 Iraq and Iran engaged in the the longest conventional warfare of the 20th century, costing over a million casualties and US$1.19 trillion. The war began when Iraq invaded Iran on 22 September 1980 following a long history of border disputes, and secret encouragement by the US administration led by Democrat Jimmy Carter who was embroiled in a dispute with the new regime in Iran.

When it became apparent that Saddam with his inferior Russian weapons could not defeat Iran with it superior American weapons, Reagan and Bush-41 actively (along with France, Russia and Germany) supported Saddam; we supplied fire directional support and intelligence for his Russian style artillery. We provided components to his chemical weapons program and Reagan allowed Military truck sales as well. So where are the conservatives and their morality play now?

Our companies sold a veritable cocktail of dangerous chemicals to him with government approval. Most of the incidents that we feign being “outraged and shocked” about now, in fact happened during that war (including the gassing in Halabja). The US and Britain actively tried to block UN resolutions condemning Iraq because siding with the Mad Saddam was strategically critical to stymie radical Shia Islamic Persia. Given this history and our duplicity, Iran which is an oil-rich nation in a highly volatile neighborhood is understandably paranoid about its security. It knows Israel has nuclear weapons with our blessings. It was afraid of Saddam’s Iraq and the brutal war cost and the ancient history of hostility between Arab and Persian cultures that go back thousands of years. These are the kind of complexities that neo-con extremist ideologues in American who are culturally clueless failed to grasp by invading Iraq. There has always been a rivalry between various kingdoms of Mesopotamia (modern Iraq) and Persia (Iran).

Let us reexamine history lest we forget; Saddam launched his war against Iran in 1980 with covert encouragement from the US, and all western allies. During that time the US and other nations actively funded and supported efforts to destabilize Iran. Iran was seen as the biggest threat to us, because of its brand of Shia Radical Islamic revolution. There were many assassination attempts against Saddam by various forces within Iraq, and some of them were supported by Islamic Iran. The US supplied Saddam intelligence, artillery directional support, components to his chemical weapons programs and only when the war dragged on for 9 long years causing it to be the longest conventional war in 20th century history, did the super power elements lose interest in siding Iraq. After a while, Russia stopped supporting Saddam because the war was an embarrassment to their claims of having better weapons technologies than the US.

In 1983 (very important to note the year) Donald Rumsfeld,(the biggest self righteous architect of the liberation of Iraq) went begging for contracts from Saddam. At that time, Donald did not pay heed to any of the pesky busybody liberal human rights organizations who were expressing deep concern about Iraq’s gross human rights abuses for decades. In fact, the Reagan Government he represented, and Britain tried to block UN resolutions brought forward by Iran about alleged chemical weapons use by Saddam’s regime. Saddam was viewed as the legitimate President of Iraq by us. Then why are we being "outraged" and citing those human rights violations that liberals talked about as the reasons for this war?

Rumsfeld and our leaders thought nothing of trying to gain multi billion dollar contracts for Bechtel from a butcher; but today in 2006, to make most out of our to “save and liberate” Iraq(let us disregard collateral damage estimated at over 150,000 and the massacre at Haditha etc), our neo-conservative crusading misleaders want only show the ugly side of Saddam to the world. Perhaps one could surmise that if Saddam and murderous thug sons were astute, they should have given those mega billion contracts to Americans(and not to the French) and bought superior American weapons instead of inferior Russian and French weapons, and he would still be in power and his air-force would be flying F-16s like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia: two of the biggest sources of Islamic radical extremist terrorists.

The neo-conservatives in the Bush regime, responsible for the incredible success in Iraq (the ones who said “we will be greeted as liberators with candy and flowers”, “Iraq sought yellow cake from Niger” ) are on "collision course" with Iran. Because we cried “Wolf Wolf” to suit a predetermined agenda to invade Iraq, we will have a tough time trying to convince the world about a “war of liberation” in Iran. Despite our sabre rattling and fear mongering, our only significant ally in Iraq, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, declined to participate in any military strike on Iran. That is because our post 9-11 credibility around the world was shattered by the invasion of Iraq. Top retired military generals including those who saw combat in Iraq are speaking out in frustration at the war effort. It is costing the American tax payers over a trillion dollars. (Hmm how will the “Rovian” White House smear them? Call them gay? ) There is no quick exit. We will have to remain in Iraq and stabilize it for at least two more decades. Ironically, we have secret bases fifty miles from holy sites in Saudi Arabia that the government does not want us to know about; that angers their Wahabi Islamic citizens. When will Bush be eager to establish democracy in Saudi Arabia, Baharain, Qatar, Kuwait and Pakistan as well? On memorial day it is imperative we ask Bush whether he would dare utter the “D” word to his buddies in Riyadh.

WE CANNOT WITHDRAW FROM IRAQ NOW. WE OPENED A PANDORA’S BOX AND WE NEED TO CLOSE IT. I DISAGREE ON THE “WITHDRAW NOW” IDIOTS on the fringe as well as with the "Benchmark no timeline" morons who took us there too.

WE SHOULD HOLD THE DARNED LIARS WHO RUSHED TO WAR ACCOUNTABLE. "We will be greeted as liberators"

Race card in Tennessee Senatorial Race

REPUBLICAN SHAME TACTICS: They work.

“I cannot accept, your canon that we are to judge pope and king unlike other men, with a favorable presumption that they do no wrong. If there is any presumption, it is the other way against holders of power ... Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” – Lord Acton

If all else fails throw in the RACE CARD with evil RNC Ads like in Tennessee or use the “Fear Factor” The Fear factor and clouding the issues work in many nations which have actually had bigger terrorist problems that we have. But as you can see the RNC has used a racially charged ad in Tn to smear Harold Ford. It appealed to the baser instinct of fear and the lynch mob mentality of the Southern regions. These are the regions where the “Dixiecrats” abandoned the Democrats for the GOP with The Nixon era and there are thousands and thousands of people who viciously opposed civil rights.

For the insecure White southern male with the endowment complex the ad of a White Blonde women flirting with a Black man sends an ugly message of old stereotyping. That is why the lynchings ended with men being decapitated and their privates cut in the good old days of “freedom” and “southern values”.

IF they wanted to call Harold Ford a player why SELECTIVELY use a WHITE BLONDE ?

I have to ask those Republican holier than thou Hezbollah wing of the party “HAVE YOU NO SHAME SIR?” RNC is responsible for it.

Even here in Ok, interracial couples still get stares and I bet there are many people even on campus who have issues with multi ethnic America and I cannot believe the self-righteous have NOT condemned this ad more vocally. Attacking his policies and even his single bachelor image are game but WHY DELIBERATELY a white blonde.? The Tn redneck inbred racists combust with this sort of attitude.

TN is the place where at a Denny’s someone asked me If “this is together or separate checks” when I went with my wife where it was obvious to everyone we were a couple. That sort of fucked up attitude can be STILL found even here. Sad truth a lot of YOU don’t want to even consider isn’t it? It makes me sad and worried too.

I know both sides are going hammer and tongs to the finish line, but the Democrats don’t have any ads like that. And in PA the Sen.pRick Santorum is also resorting to fear tactics. It works for the borderline ignoramuses who are necessary to win. (the ones who still think Iraq was behind 9/11 and think we have many democratic Arab allies and who think Pakistan, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are democracies!)

It was a sad day when VERY FEW could answer my bonus questions right on the issue of Iraq and Democracy. But that is EXACTLY what the Republicans want us to be. Ignorant and focus on the Wall or the Gays to forget their rank utter incompetence and immoral unchristian corruption and the arrogance that has become worse than the previous Dem held Congress. I don’t care which ideology or party is in power. The Cause of DEMOCRACY is served best when People who elect the leaders THROW out the bums EVERY few years lock stock and barrel REGARDLESS OF Their party affiliation. This is going to be an ugly election where both sides harp on the other sides weaknesses and the GOP excels at the fear factor. Dems are incompetent in that regard. They call themselves the moral values party? In the interest of full disclosure, I registered as an independent first and then changed to Dem BECAUSE OF THE utter incompetence and lying crusaders invading Iraq. If the Dems win, I will change back to Independent to keep freedom. Oh yeah build the wall and spy on us too by the way. Those apparently are ok now from the nation which told other nations NOT to torture, NOT to hold terrorist suspects in custody for too long and NOT to kill civilians in battles. Yes US and BRITAIN preached a lot to Sri Lanka about these “human rights” issues when there was torture and habeas corpus issues. Amen…..Hallelujah to the righteous right.(I know this first hand from my family members)Even in Sri Lanka despite terrorism and war, People throw out incumbents regularly.

North Korea and our big CowBoy talk

After the Intentional Republican Aspired Quagmire(IRAQ), most people in the world don’t view our leaders as honest. Countries watched us attacking a weak nation without nuclear deterrence. N.Korea ("Axis of Evil" cowboy talk) realized having a Nuke is an effective deterrent to our overwhelming military superiority.

The world was with us after 9/11 including the people of Iran. If we listen, and travel across secular western democracies we will understand post Iraq fear, and resentment of our unilateralism and hubris. We did not give a damn about proliferation in Iran at one time when we gave them their first Nuclear Reactor, (Kissinger said they did not even think about proliferation). We stubbornly refuse to reduce our arsenal and still preach to others! Pakistan is a military dictatorship with proven ties to Jihadists who hate us; they have nuclear weapons they built as a deterrent against India. Israel has over 100 nuclear bombs. Why don't we lead by example? We have not even signed the NPT.

In a democracy, we should examine the conduct of evangelical zealots in power. Sadly, across the globe (including civilized Europe), people wonder if we too are ruled by a cabal of mad evangelical ideologues who are a bigger threat to global stability. A person claims to consult a "Higher father" to invade Iraq; (and not his own father who would have counseled him against it) we must wonder about that person's state of mind too. N.Korea is best dealt with by direct engagement. There is no military option because S.Korea and China are opposed to it; we have little credibility around the world now. Sure Clinton failed. but at least they kept the doors open instead of refusing to watch out for real threats by going after the wrong nations.

Our shame and our refusal to talk

North Korea

Nations with nuclear weapons
1. USA with the most
2. Russia
3. China
4. Britain
5. France
6. India
7. Pakistan and
8. above all, Israel with over 100 in a contentious neighborhood.

Rather queer we never shouted before eh? And ah, S.Africa under the racist minority regime of white supremacist neo-nazi devils had Nuclear weapons too. It was only Mandela (the greatest world leader of the past 30 years) who VOLUNTARILY dismantled their nuclear forces. That is a world first.

India says they will sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty IF WE REDUCE our nuclear weapons capabilities along with Russia to acceptable levels with the rest of the nuclear club. WE HAVE THE MOST NUMBER OF nuclear weapons in the world. We have enough to obliterate the world five times over. And we want to PREACH to others? Come on man, a small nation with a few of those are not as big a threat as us to world peace now is it?

Tough rhetoric from Bush will not solve this problem. N.Korea is already isolated. It does not want war with S.Korea. For anyone to suggest they will use nuclear weapons against their own people is absurd. Korean families are split between the two sizes North and South of the DMZ. Koreans all dream of the day they will be united. They were split because the war that involved the US, China and Russia ended in a tie. No side won; hence two Koreas were created.

Kim does not have a death wish. As our chaotic invasion in Iraq has shown, we invade weak nations that had weak military capabilities, obsolete technology and NO weapons of mass destruction. Kim and others are now being prompted to develop "new killer" weapons BECAUSE it is a deterrent to US agression .We can protest as loudly as we want, but if you look at the history of aggression, invasions, "liberations", and a host of other military actions, in the past 40 years, the US has been world leaders. Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Korea, Iraq are all a result of there being a big super power or a rivarly between two super powers.

N.Korea should have been engaged in DIRECT talks. We also should have engaged in direct talks with Syria and Iran. Bush-41 was even able to bring Syrian troops to fight alongside us in the First Gulf War. Syria expected some fair treatment by us. They want the Golan Heights back. As long as that is occupied illegally by Israel, there will be no peace between SECULAR Syria and Israel. We cannot expect to use nations when we feel like it and then discard them or ignore them because they dont fit into our neo-conservative Christian doctrine which is lop-sidedly pro-Israeli.

N.Korea watched the Iraqi situation. Iran watched it. They realize like our buddy Pakistan who built nukes to deter India, that Nuclear weapons are a good deterrent or defensive weapon against the world's only superpower( the only nation to have ever used nuclear weapons in combat). The reason we invaded Iraq was because it was militarily weak and we wanted to "teach that boy a lesson" .

Sanctions? Ok they will work for a while. But slowly they will break. The already impoverished people of Piss Poor N.Korea will be made to suffer more. They will then spread their xenophobic fervor and brainwash their people further like how our leaders have brainwashed us over the last few years into deceiving us about Iraq and its non-existent connections to 9/11.

What do we do? Shout, pass resolutions, but military actions are not going to work unless we really want to trigger this right-wing christian nutcase regime's theory of "armageddon" and "rapture" hogwash poppycock theories. Don't forget they wanted the "Rapture" in Lebanon too. Those people represent a 25% block of the voters in this nation. Their aim is to create an intolerant Christian kingdom in the US by capturing power through the ballot. They feel anyone who does not follow their way is "doomed" and goes to "hell".

If anyone goes to war in a hurry, and cause further world chaos it will be us. Think about it. A piss poor nation with nuclear weapons will not have a death wish. What needs to happen is to examine all the rhetoric and cowboy bluster and big talk that Bush said in his speeches from 2003 onwards. "axis of evil"? Boo hoo hoo, when some asshole like Chavez says things against us we get really upset, but when we call other nations names and label them and then tell our people they are all evil and we are good, they are supposed to bend over and take the name calling? Sure Chavez is an ass but he is an ass with lotsa lotsa oil moolah and we will dearly like to have a puppet there like the good old days of obsequious murderous pro-US tyrants in S. and Central America.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, N.Korea wants direct talks and respect. Now they have EARNED the respect by showing their nuclear capabilities. Japan is jittery: Afterall, Japan dismembered Korea and enslaved it not so long ago and even took comfort women from them. Sure, Japan is jittery.

But what is the way out? Here are my suggestions. Try to get rid of Kim the short bald degenerate who likes Russian whores and orgies.
  1. Supply him premium scotch and syphilis infested top class hookers.(sorta like a national security emergency version of the evilTuskegee Experiment; well that was by evil white Americans on fellow oppressed Americans, and that was immoral and nazi like government work, but here it will be for a good cause)http://www.npr.org/programs/morning/features/2002/jul/tuskegee/
  2. Perhaps insert some bad stuff that the CIA developed to get rid of Fidel Castro(our other pathetic obsession) into his premium Scotch.
  3. Or cut the break lines in his fleet of luxury sports cars.
  4. Try to assassinate him by buying some top generals who look so funny in their big Russian style uniforms and chests full of medals. I always wondered why N.Korean Generals have some many medals. Is it for pimping for their spoilt son of Kim dictator?

INVASION again you say? Sending a culturally clueless, linguistically clueless army to "liberate" a piss poor OIL DEVOID NATION? Think again; South Korea is our ally but they are AGAINST military intervention. N.Koreans are their brothers and sisters. We go in there with our sunglasses, arrogant attitudes, jackboots and break down doors? We will have a Koreajihad of non-religious ethnically proud ancient historic people uniting against us in the East too. Look at what we did in Iraq.

God bless Bush. We don't have too many friends left in the world because of our arrogant unilateral christian obsession to change the way the world is.

Mr Bush, TALK DIRECTLY TO THESE NATIONS; You have more to lose by your swagger and posture than by talking to them. Your threats of violence and military action are not going to sway the vast majority of S.Koreans.

Your father talked to these nations. Your father was friends with Syria. Your father did not utter foolish rhetoric such as "Axis of Evil" only to be flabbergasted when other nations react and rush to create the weapons that give them a sense of protection from us. My Point? Iraq has left us more vulnerable with fewer friends and heck of a lot LESS credibility that when your father was President. Foolish talk and cowboy swagger never got us anywhere Mister President. Look at Iraq.

You should have talked to YOUR OWN FATHER and not be delusional about talking to the "Higher father" who clearly was not well versed in reality and Arab cultures or history. If it were another normal person, we will conclude that those who say "god is talking to me" belong in the loony bin. It is called Schizophrenic behaviour: ask Pat Robertson and Jerry Fallwell them know this well.

Iran is developing Nuclear Technology in defiance of UN concerns. The Piss poor North Korea run by the spolit short degenerate Son of Kim Il Sung, has now upped the ante with an explosion. Nuclear deterrence it was learnt is the best way to stop our "regime change", mission accomplished strategies from becoming contagious.

  • We refused to negotiate or even talk to them under the highly successful Bush Doctrine. As James Baker-III said today on Meet the Press, "WE TALKED TO EVERYONE including Syria". But sigh, those were the glory days of great American Leaders not chained by christian extremist ideologies. Those were GREAT REPUBLICANS THOSE DAYS MY FRIEND. Bush-41 is the SMARTEST MAN to have become President from the GOP in a long time.

  • Our leaders now say that with Iran's abundant energy sources it does not need nuclear power. Our President, that architect of the great Iraqi success "forgets" to educate the American people that the US helped start Iran's nuclear program.

  • The US gave Iran its first 5 megawatt Plant that ran on highly enriched Uranium during the decades we propped up a Dictator and our companies raked in billions from him. That Dictator (installed by us by overthrowing a democratic government way back in 1952-53) was envisioning a time when Oil would run out. That is another convenient truth we omit from our people when we discuss the radicalization of the Shia Iranian people in the post 1979 era. Some of our current neo-con anti Iranian leaders, were all ardent proponents of Iran's nuclear energy plans when they were working for the energy Industry. During one Republican regime, we signed a multi billion dollar "nuclear cooperation" memorandum with Iran which would have generated billions of dollars in revenue to American companies selling Nuclear Technology.

  • None of them cared about “Nuclear weapons Proliferation” at that time because the Shah was our boy in the Middle East and we pulled the strings. No one thought of safeguards.
Today these same rightwing greedy leaders enslaved to big business say "Iran has no need for nuclear power". Post revolution Iran got mad at us because we supported a dictator for decades because of Oil and lucre and cared not two hoots for morals or democracy.

  • Now we have no choice but to tell them that if they attack Israel we will attack them with the same weapons. A powerful, wealthy 2500 yr old civilization doesn't have a desire to commit suicide.

  • Iran was attacked by Iraq at a time we armed Iraq and encouraged Saddam to defeat Iran. And Israel has nuclear weapons too. Instead of being “iffy” like Bush-41 was before Iraq invaded Kuwait, a clear unambiguous threat of nuclear retaliation will go a long way towards stopping their weapons programs.

  • Otherwise, it will be really hard to tell them they have no need for Nuclear Energy for peaceful purposes when told them they might need it for the day they run out of oil. Let's stop being such self-righteous Pontius Pilates trying to blame others for our policy excesses committed over decades of arrogant indifference to political freedom and democracy during the cold war.

  • The intelligence community calls policy reversals “blow back”. Even the nutcase Mullahs have a right to be paranoid. IRAN HAS NEVER ATTACKED A NEIGHBOR.

A Macaca American Speaks out on LIARS IN THE GOVERNMENT

Please allow me some small hubris so I can educate the relatively less informed fellow Americans who will be voting. Sen John Warner today came back downbeat and worried about Iraq ( a rightwing conservative Senator). Please let me SHARE some FACTS, because we in Science and Academia are all about data and facts and observable data.

Anyone who had an iota of commonsense (examples would be Bush-41, Clinton etc) would have realized that until Saddam took control Iraq had successive violent unstable governments because of the nature of the region. Bush would not know it because he was clueless. But it is FACT, that the standing joke was that at Iraq's State Functions you stay the heck away from the President because you never know when he will be assassinated. My father related this to me back in 1975 when Ali Bakr was still the President of Iraq, when my old man went on an official visit to Iraq which used to give a lot of aid to poor third world nations.

For ignoramuses , Ali-Bakr was the President at that time; Saddam was his VEEP; all of them military type folks. Saddam ousted his mentor Ali-Bakr "peacefully and he retired because of ill health" and Saddam took over a time when oil money was pouring in at a rate. He, like most other MidEast degenerates developed their nation's infrastructure rapidly. There were building booms and amazing development and all these nations hired skilled and semi skilled labor by the MILLIONS from S.Asia(specially India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan and Bangladesh). Sri Lankan workers flooded Saudi, Iraq, Kuwait etc and housemaids were also in great demand.

And Ah of course the Big ugly Bear (being the Soviets) armed Iraq and the Great Eagle(being us) armed the Iranian pricktator the Shah. They both salivated at the prospect of selling anything and everything possible to them for moola lotsa lotsa moolah. Those oil rich Arabs loved big toys, we loved their money. The Persian Shah also loved our toys and even our 5MegaWatt Nuclear Reactor!!!

So similar to other feudalocracies or one-man regimes in the region, Saddam was the only one able to lead such a fissiparous disunited bickering Arab nation for the longest period in Iraq's modern history. (Baath party rule).

We did not give a damn about who he killed and those trials we seem to want to broadcast to obfuscate issues All happened at a time when WE SIDED with him because those mad Shia mullahs in Iran were a bigger threat to us(why? because of what we did in Iran!!) .

Now the ancient hatreds and differences in Iraq have caused chaos for us and we are responsible for rushing in. Don't blame the Iraqi leaders, blame our lying utterly incompetent leaders and our societal collective HUBRIS.

The senate committee report has already debunked the lies and false connections ad infinitum and yet the Cheneys of the world LIE TO US. It makes me very sad that in this hallowed premise we fixate on a former President's philandering with an adult intern under mutual consent to deflect heat off of the PRESENT chaos we have self inflicted upon ourselves due to our IGNORANCE, HUBRIS and downright racial prejudices. Until this regime, we always had a great protocol in the US: we NEVER refer to previous Presidencies or pass the buck on to them to deflect heat off our follies. Reagan didn't do it. 41 didn't do it. Clinton didn't do it, even Mister Peanut Grin didn't do it.

Apparently the 3000 Iraqis dying a month are just colored folks not worthy of even a comma? And young American lives lost? 2735 today. Cost 600 BILLION? our religious extremist leaders who are in denial are the ones to blame Senator Jack Warner not those Imperially selected folks we have over there. Our hubris is what caused this and is continuing to kill an average of 3000 Iraqis a month. IT IS A COMMA SAYS THE Greatest leader of the freeworld! A COMMA?

We are in an infinite loop;. The getting out comes when the system is overloaded and we run out of RAM. To illustrate it, here is the loop to define the issue.

You all know that in some programming languages that a String variable is automatically initialized to nullString right? (Sen Warner also wants to withdraw if things are not better by Dec). What do we do now? Smear him and call him names?

Denial for me is the state of mind when I think I am tall, handsome, and a stud. But that don't cause no world chaos do it? If there is democracy and elections in Pakistan or Saudi who will sweep the polls? the extremists because we have added in leaps and bounds to their cause by the mess we created in Iraq.

Evaluate the following loop and when it exits we win. God bless all of you.

Dim invasion as String

Do While invasion x<>"Chaos"
If invasion="Chaos" then
Exit While
Else
invasion= "stay the course"
End if
Loop

Ipso Facto.

Warner Downbeat After Iraq TripU.S. at Risk of Losing Bid to Control Baghdad, Senator Says
By Josh WhiteWashington Post Staff WriterFriday, October 6, 2006; A03
The Republican chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee yesterday offered a stark assessment of the situation in Iraq after a trip there this week, saying that parts of the country have taken "steps backwards" and that the United States is at risk of losing the campaign to control an increasingly violent Baghdad.
Sen. John W. Warner (Va.) told reporters on Capitol Hill that the Iraqi government is having trouble making strides and is incapable of providing even basic human necessities to people in certain areas of the country. Though Warner praised U.S. efforts to keep Iraq under control, he was far less optimistic about the situation there than he had been over the past three years.
Echoing the sentiments of several leading Democrats on his committee, Warner said he believes the United States may have to reevaluate its approach in Iraq if the situation does not improve dramatically over the next several months.
"I assure you, in two or three months, if this thing hasn't come to fruition and if this level of violence is not under control and this government able to function, I think it's a responsibility of our government internally to determine: Is there a change of course that we should take?" Warner said. "And I wouldn't take off the table any option at this time."
Warner and other senators traveled to Jordan, Iraq and Israel this week to discuss the security situation and to evaluate the progress of the Iraqi government. He said U.S. military commanders believe there is no way to reduce the number of U.S. troops in the region in the foreseeable future because of a steady increase in the level of violence, and he added that it is important to acknowledge the civil insurrection, sectarian violence, "unacceptable level" of killings and "heavy casualties" among U.S. forces there.
Sen. Carl M. Levin (Mich.), the committee's ranking Democrat, who was on the same trip, called yesterday for a change in dynamic in Iraq if the government continues to falter in the coming months.
Warner blamed the Iraqi leaders for failing to improve conditions. "You do not see them taking the levers of sovereignty and pulling and pushing them and doing what is necessary to bring about a situation in Iraq whereby the people are able to live, have sufficient food and fresh water, and have a sense of confidence in their government that they're going forward," Warner said.
But he said the situation is not beyond repair. "We're not going to give up hope yet. Let's give it more time to work."
Warner acknowledged that, before the invasion of Iraq, there was a lack of understanding among members of Congress about how much it would take to give Iraq full sovereignty. He blamed himself for not aggressively asking such questions before the war.

Iraq Quagmire and our Hubris

I AM PROUD TO BE AN INFORMED EDUCATED UPPER MIDDLE CLASS TAX PAYING AMERICAN (As Republican Senator Allen the asshole from VA says a MACACA American!)

As we mourn the horrendous tragedy of 9/11 and the aftermath, it will be important for ordinary Americans to keep world events in perspective. We must put things in proportional perspective by remembering just in the month of July this year, more than 3,480 Iraqis died in the fractious sectarian violence which is a direct result of our invasion. We also must not forget that evil cunning terrorists took 8 years between the first attack on the WTC towers and the second one. There cannot be any false complacency on our part. We hate our enemies and should wipe them out too; justifiably so right? Then what logic says that Iraqis and other Moslems who see what happened in Iraq and Lebanon, should not hate us for our invasion which caused over 150,000 dead civilians? Do we really think those who have their families killed by our bombs in Iraq or in Israeli hands will have logical rational reasoning capacity to distinguish between terrorist attacks and what we callously call “collateral damage”? Iraq today has galvanized those who want to hurt us and has given our real enemies a free recruiting campaign. Our leaders claim we have not been attacked in 5 years because of our successful invasion of Iraq and "taking the battle to them" into Iraq. That is baloney because we did not complete our mission in Afghanistan. We must not forget that we invaded the wrong nation and hid facts from our people. Before Iraq was invaded our leaders “forgot” to tell us not one hijacker was Iraqi and 15 of them were Saudis. Rather queer won’t you say? 80 percent of our people believed the line “Saddam, 9/11, terror” that was repeated over and over again by the President and Vice President; we felt that Iraq was responsible for that terrible tragedy because it was suggested to us. Thus, more Iraqis have been killed than in the 9/11 tragedy since our invasion in 2003; thus leading to more and more anger and resentment towards us even in secular or moderate Moslem nations. Is it anti Arab racism or bigotry or ignorance about Moslems that cause us not to wonder about casualties that add to the flames of hatred? Are some of our Christian political leaders as bad as the Islamic nutcases who think their faith is the only correct faith?

Iraq has galvanized those who want to hurt us and has given our real enemies a free recruiting campaign. We must also must think of many other nations where tens of thousands more have died fighting terrorist separatist groups(such as Sri Lanka). We must not think our WTC was the only towers that were attacked. In 1997 Sri Lanka's WTC towers were attacked by the world's most ruthless terrorist separatist group with their hallmark suicide bombers(it failed). Just 10 days ago some of their operatives were busted by the FBI in some clever police work in Statten Island. They were here to buy SAMs and other weapons to do harm in Sri Lanka. Where does their money come from? It comes from Canadian, US and other citizens of Tamil origin who contribute millions to their tiger group. Al-Qaeda copied Tiger tactics of using bomb laden suicide boats and cars. Tigers perfected the technology of the suicide bomb vest, remote controlled Claymore mine attacks and those were copied by Al-Qaeda.

We mislead our people by linking Al-Qaeda to Saddam to justify the invasion. We failed to tell American people about our involvement in the Middle East where we prop up dictatorships and feudal oppressive regimes and do not care about Democracy as long as the oil flows. We continue to prop the House Of Saud, and their oppressive Wahabi Intolerant ideologies that support Islamic terrorism. Not a single one of our allies is a real Democracy in the Middle-East(except Israel). The Madarassas in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan still espouse hate against us and will make sure there will be a steady stream of radical ideologues ready to hurt us in the future.

Intelligence agencies knew Saddam the secular tyrant (who we helped fight Iran in his 8 yr war) and Al-Qaeda type radical Islamic extremist types were enemies and our politicians still keep on lying about it. The Senate intelligence services report (too late and too little) has concluded what every well informed American knew. But even two weeks ago our President tried to say "Zarqawi is proof Saddam had links"; that is despite knowing that The CIA last fall repudiated the idea that there were pre-war ties between Saddam Hussein’s government and the terrorist psycho Al Zarqawi, ( report issued on Friday by the Republican controlled Senate intelligence committee). That disclosure contradicts claims by the Bush administration that such ties existed, and that they provided evidence of links between Iraq and Al Qaeda. The Republican-controlled committee also sharply criticized the administration for its reliance on the Iraqi National Congress during the run-up to the war in Iraq. A C.I.A. report completed in October 2005 concluded instead that Sadddam Hussein’s regime “did not have a relationship, harbor, or even turn a blind eye toward Mr. Zarqawi and his associates,” according to the new Senate findings.( NY Times). In fact we knew he was hunting for radical extremists in Iraq because of Iranian Shia threats to him. It is time our regime quit misleading us.

Our leaders, who claim to talk straight, never mention Saudi Arabia and Pakistan or the fact that not one hijacker was Iraqi and 15 were Saudis. We were misled into believing Iraq was behind the attack and we justifiably sought revenge, only to dismember the wrong nation by rushing in to a badly planned colonization attempt of an oil rich nation; and causing over 150,000 casualties we arrogantly dismiss as "collateral damage". We were told Iraqi oil revenues will pay itself for the war. We were told by Rumsfeld, that it will not last 6 months. The gullible swallowed the line that “We will be greeted as liberators with roses and chocolates”. I guess those are on backorder now. The cost at present is over 450 billion by some estimates; nearly three thousand of our finest have died. Over ten thousand are maimed for life and we don’t even want to show the horrors of war and suffering on TV so that our people will remain clueless and immune pawns for our leaders. Apparently our moral values say it is more important to be outraged about a Presidential act of fellatio and lying about it than about a war that has now lasted longer than our involvement in World War-II.

In fairness we must also contrast our two ongoing wars. Everyone must agree that Afghanistan was the correct war. In that case, Bush was justified and gave great political leadership to the correct war that was lacking in the previous regime. Credit must be given to the Bush administration for attacking Afghanistan and depriving Al-Qaeda of a state to keep their operational base. Not one Democrat or Liberal should suggest otherwise. Everyone was unanimous about supporting our attack in Afghanistan. But everyone now can see that job was half done; and the Taliban who harbored Al-Qaeda are resurgent with open full scale battles being fought in some regions. Why didn't we complete that job? Now that facts are out, we can see that we missed the bus in Afghanistan by not providing enough Rangers to corner and kill Usama Bin Laden when he was cornered in Tora Bora; and the CIA sent repeated requests for reinforcements. NATO asks for more troops now because of a resurgent Taliban. Taleban now are depending on revenues from the rapidly expanding post invasion heroin Poppy farming that was curbed by the Taleban regime previously. Yet it is important to know that the reason we went in there was not because of democracy. As Colin Powell said this week, “no matter how murderous Taliban regime was, we would not have attacked them if they did not support Al-Qaeda”. What does that statement shed light on our duplicitous role in spreading “democracy” or our feigned concern for the oppressed women of Afghanistan in comparison to the oppressed women in Saudi Arabia (Laura Bush lamented their oppression during Taleban rule) ? Personally we and the Pakistanis caused Taleban types to take over Afghanistan in the first place. History will teach us that Afghanistan and its Tribal factions have never been conquered by foreign powers and that they will continue to fight us for decades more.

Our actions in Iraq have strengthened Iran and its Shia radicals and Iran has become the dominant force in Mid-East politics now. That is one reason we did not invade Iraq after the Persian Gulf war in 1991. Our leaders then were astute and not blind ideologues driven by Christian radical zealotry. We in fact preferred a Secular Socialist thug like Iraq to keep Iran at bay. Ironically, while we make a soap opera of Sadddam’s murder trial, those horrid massacres/incidents for which he is being tried happened at a time we were actively supporting him(1982-89) to ward off Iran!;rather hypocritical to now use that argument to justify the war don’t you think? We knew at that time what Saddam was doing and did not care, so why should we be so self-righteous now?

We also used radical Arab jihadis to purge the Soviets out of Afghanistan during the cold war; hence creating a new Saudi Arab based monstrous radical network which at that time were given billions of dollars, weapons including Stingers, mules from Tennessee and were referred to as "Freedom Fighters" by Reagan and Usama was one of those Arab wealthy zealots we abetted to Fight Soviets. The unstable tribal North Western frontier of Pakistan was the conduit through which we armed these evil nutcases in the late 70s to 1989. To the hapless Soviets they must have been "Radical Jihadi Islamo-Facists" as they are to us now(election time buzzword). But to us they were “freedom fighters” then.

Then we must ask ourselves why radical Islamist Saudi civilians resent us, and turn to Islamic terrorism? We have secret bases very close to their holy cities because of our oil interests and we will never allow democracy to flourish there. What will we do if we had an Arab Army next to the Vatican or to the National Cathedral in DC? We must stop simplifying complex issues and putting two-second sound bites in the mouths of our people to drive fear. We have with our chaotic invasion of Iraq ensured that we cannot withdraw now(and we should not) for decades and we have given rise to very extremist cells in Secular Europe as well.

Terrorism cannot be beaten until the root causes are addressed and fixed. Will we call for democracy in Saudi Arabia and withdraw from there? Will we keep propping the secular military dictatorship in Pakistan(we should because if there is democracy there the radicals will win). Might is not always right nor righteous. Let us guard ourselves again hate but lets not give more opportunities to launch false wars that actually will create future generations of terrorists. When a few bold educated Americans foolishly dared to question the invasion in 2003 they were silenced by our theocratic regime. Our op-ed columns were abused and some were physically threatened for telling Americans the truth. We were accused as being traitors and appeasers when sadly everything we predicted and everything Bush-41 and his intelligent cabinet knew would happen has happened. When a blinded ideologue claims he talked to the “higher father” to launch this war instead of his higher father, we know there must be something wrong with the logical thought process. Clearly his “higher father” had no clue about Kurds, Sunnis and Shias and terrorism and Islamic sentiments and radical ideologues.

These guys are deadly and the only way to wipe them out now is via intelligence actions, covert operations, and not by invading oil rich nations on false pretenses and causing more and more resentment and tens of thousands of civilian casualties to justify our hurt and anger. The most effective weapon we have against them is intelligence, clever police work and more intelligence and not arrogant bull in the china shop invasions of oil rich nations on other pretenses. Above all, other nations that have fought different terrorist groups will tell you ultimately that the root political causes such as our support of oppressive Feudal Arab nations, corruption, poverty and ignorance are tackled we will only be feeding the flames of radical Islam. May we all be safe and may all beings including innocent Iraqis be free of violence, and hate. Waging war for democracy is like having sex for virginity. Let us not be Pontius Pilates ever again please. GOD BLESS AMERICA & ALL THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD who are "collateral damage".
God Bless Americans who can agree to disagree

PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!
I have lost many friends, family and acquaintances to terrorism.

GUNNER’S DREAM by PINK FLOYD
FROM FINAL CUT

DEDICATED TO ALL THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD WHOSE LIVES HAVE BEEN CUT SHORT BY WAR IN IRAQ, LEBANON, ISRAEL, SRI LANKA AND OTHER PLACES AND WHAT WE CALLOUSLY DISMISS AS “COLLATERAL DAMAGE”. NOTE THAT IN JULY alone, 3438 Iraqis died as a result of the chaotic mayhem we caused by rushing into war in a place we don’t understand, and were told we will be greeted as liberators. Amazing ignorance. Who do we hold accountable for creating chaos? Our misleaders who mislead and confuse us by pretending all those against us in Iraq are terrorists! NOT SO Liars. Most of them are just insurgents against a foreign occupation. DUH. Isn’t that why we fought a war of independence in 1776? Ok, having said that, I do not think we have a choice anymore.

WE HAVE TO STAY THERE even if it takes 25 years. We cannot withdraw now like the defeatist Ronald Reagan did in 1984 after Hezbollah blew up the marine barracks in 1983. All that will do is strengthen the real terrorists. SO be prepared to sacrifice some more American lives while you have your beer and watch football and be a patriotic Republican pro war pro death penalty prolifer who will never dare to don the uniform and go to war.

God Bless Americans who can disagree.

Floating down through the clouds
memories come rushing up to meet me now
in the space between the heavens and in the corner of some foreign field
I had a dream I had a dream
goodbye Max goodbye ma after the service
when you're walking slowly to the car
and the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air
you hear the tolling bell and touch the silk in your lapel
and as the tear drops rise to meet the comfort of the band
you take her frail hand and hold on to the dream
A place to stay enough to eat somewhere
old heroes shuffle safely down the street where
you can speak out loud about your doubts and fears
and what's more no-one ever disappears
you never hear their standard issue kicking in your door
you can relax on both sides of the tracks
and maniacs don't blow holes in bandsmen by remote control
and everyone has recourse to the law
and no-one kills the children anymore (?????how about that 14yr old girl raped in Iraq?)
and no-one kills the children anymore
night after night going round and round
my brain his dream is driving me insane
in the corner of some foreign field
the gunner sleeps tonight what's done is done
we cannot just write off his final scene take heed of his dream take heed
