Paranoia about the "war on Christmas" by Gibson and OReilly of Fox News
Are those shouting about a “war on Christmas” really Christians? If people want to wage war in the name Of Christ it should be a war against war, corruption, and poverty.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." (James 1:27)
Most Buddhists are very tolerant and accepting people of other faiths. In one Buddhist country, where Christians are only an 8% pct minority, Christmas and Good Friday are national holidays for all. Thus it isn’t a surprise that Buddhists respect their Christian friends on Xmas.
Nowadays, Christmas seems to be about un-Christ like craven consumerist consumption getting us deeper into debt with spending orgies to show our piety! To many, it is about “buying a $3000 dollar Plasma TV, PlayStation-3,or buying a $1300 designer handbag ” rather than about Christ’s crusade against war, poverty, violence and hate.
Instead of wasting energy trying to convince others of your superior “Christian-ness” why not practice what Jesus preached first? Wishing Merry Christmas to Christian Americans and Happy Hannukah to Jewish Americans, and Happy New Year to Buddhists etc is appropriate. No one should be offended by Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays.
Where was that pimp Sean Hannity, John Gibson and O'Reilly when we went to war under false pretenses?

Maybe those who get angry and want to display their “Christianess” are really unsure of themselves or their faith; there are many faiths around the world and there is no one to say one is the Correct faith or the true faith because faith is based on beliefs and after all
Some Christians burnt scientists for saying the Earth was NOT FLAT AT ONE TIME!! OReilly and Gibson would have led the charge to burn people and chastize them those days.
And others slaughtered wholesale to force their Christianity or Catholicism down the hapless throats of countless nations while plundering their treasures for the Kings and Queens of their holy Vatican based empires ranging from Spain, To Portugal to Holland and then to England for their Queen and Church of England.
Somehow a lot of ancient old religions with highly organized educational systems and practices survived all these violent assaults on them during the dark days of crusades and colonial empire building. So who is to know what is right or what is the correct path?
Come on now, we are in an institution of higher learning where we are supposed to open our eyes and if we drive fear and prevent people from studying and understanding different schools of thought we will still be going around burning books and insisting the Earth is flat and that the earth was made 6000 years ago. There is no proof to say one faith is better than the other because faith is all about an element of blind belief.

I SAY HAPPY HANNUKAH TO MY JEWISH FRIENDS.
HAPPY HOLIDAY TO MYSELF AND OTHERS MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF OTHERS around the world, who don’t want you to waste time trying to convince us because we won’t try to convince you either!
